HELP! I am half way thru editing a wedding and all of a sudden all my D200 NEF's are ".NEF is not a supported image file." I am editing with Capture 4.4 on Windows XP Pro SP2. I have been able to open the files in Photoshop 6 and make minor changes but it takes way to long. Anyone know what is going on or how to fix it?

I think I can help. There is a program called Preview Extractor. It is little known that a full size JPEG exists within a D200 NEF, this program is freeware and can extract the JPEGs within the RAW NEF files very quickly.

Go to http://drchung.new21.net/previewextractor/ for the download.

Or e-mail me at lighttrip@hotmail.com and I can e-mail this very small program to you. It does not have to be installed and you can keep it on a CF card or jump drive
