not sure where this topic should go, hope this is an OK place.
I'm looking for a new bag/case for my equipment.
I don't travel on planes much, only by car. I have two DSLRs with battery grips, a 70-200 and soon to have a 300 F4, and a couple small prime lenses. I also have a flash and the various cables/cords/batteries/etc.
I really like the Pelican cases (that's the type of case I'm looking for), but don't know which one would fit best.
I'm looking for portability and protection. Waterproof would be ideal, as I live in the Pacific Northwest (shot a softball tournament in Eastern Washington this past weekend where it *snowed*)
I shoot mostly sports, outdoors, baseball and softball and soccer.
Thanks folks.
Mike.

Mike, Other than going to a store where you can actually inspect and hold one, you might go to a web site like http://www.pelican.com/ where you can get an idea of dimensions and capacity. They are great products. I use mine mostly when I go boating. Mike

Thanks David and Mike. I'll probably end up at a store. I don't want a huge case, but have been *very* unhappy with the soft cases that I've gotten. Maybe because they are 'off-brand' types. I'll mosey on over to a store here soon and take a look and see what I can find. I really like the hard shell type cases like the Pelican and the Zero Halliburton cases (I don't think ZH makes them anymore).
Thanks guys.
Mike.

Thanks David. I usually try to buy locally as well, but sometimes, the price difference is too great, even considering shipping. We'll see. I really want a hard sided case, but I don't know at this point what I'll end up with.
Thanks again.
Mike.

I use the Lowe Pro Pro Roller I & Pro Roller II. They are built like a tank. When I compared them to the Pelican rollers, the handles and rollers seam better built on the Lowe Pros than on the Pelicans. Of course the Pelicans are even tougher being hard sided, but I didn't like Pelican's handle or rollers. I have used the LowePro Pro Rollers for over 3 years of constant use and they still look like new.

Has anybody used the Think Tank rolling cases? I bought my LowePro rolling cases before Think Tank had rolling cases. I have never tried the Think Tank cases.
