I recently purchased a Nikon D300s which has the dual card slots. When I connect it to my PC is lists "D300s" and DP4/5 both let me select it. The problem is the when I click the "list folders" button DP displays a blank screen instead of allowing me the select the card and the associated folder.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions. I am on a 3 week shoot and would like to be able to use DP without having to use a seperate card reader (assuming that would work! I have other cameras with me but would like to field test the D300s.

John--Do you need to select List Folders at all? Frankly I hardly ever actually mess with transferring direct from camera but assuming it is looking like a Drive you should be able to transfer all the images just by selecting the root level?

Or I could clearly be missing something as when I used DP with a dual slot D3 I was using the card reader so I didn't try to see what happened with the two slots & a cable.--David

David,

As I said, it does find "D300s" as a drive but does not give an option as to which card to read.

John, Have you tried using Nikon Transfer to get the files? That software should have come with the camera. My guess is it has an option for your camera.

After Nikon Transfer opens, make sure the Source tab is selected. Click on the D300s icon/button (it has a small down arrow in the lower right corner) and you have the option to select Slot 1 or Slot 2 (it looks like Slot 1 is the default).

I've never bothered to use direct transfer, but NT works easily with the dual slots.
