Interesting that we take for granted the terms of wet lab and digital labs here in the U.S. I was under the impression that many countries, especially asia and europe were way ahead of us in digital products and advancements.

In some respects (dating back to Minitel and now GSM in Europe and more recently Docomo in Japan) other nations have digital communications structures that we should envy.

But for computer related technologies such as digital photography the US has held its own. International surveys of the purchase of digicams show large numbers in various countries but the US is still the flagship.
