Why should you read our reviews?

First, we only review equipment that we use or have used as part of our daily work, so you'll be getting the real scoop on how the latest gear performs in the field.

Second, we'll keep updating our reviews with new impressions as we learn more about the equipment and have more experiences. One of the biggest frustrations with new product reviews is that they are based on a limited first impression--often with loaner equipment--and subsequent advantages and faults which appear over time are left to the reader to discover on their own.

What else should you read?

Exhaustive reviews which feature test targets and arrays of sample images also serve a valuable purpose and can help you with the detailed analysis of the camera's imaging system. Our reviews are written based on field experience with plenty of test and production shooting--we'll refer you to other sites for test target analysis.
